Ovaltine
Myanmar
A 360-degree campaign I worked on for Ovaltine during my time as an Art Director at Havas Riverorchid. We shaped culturally relevant messaging that connected the global brand to local traditions in Myanmar.

Thadingyut Festival Special Packaging
The Cultural Strategy : Thadingyut, also known as the Lighting Festival, is one of Myanmar's most significant cultural celebrations, a time for family and paying homage to elders. Ovaltine wanted to authentically connect with this tradition, so we developed a highly localized campaign during my time at Havas Riverorchid.

The Visual Concept : To capture the feel of the festival, I conceptualized a heartwarming traditional narrative. The core artwork features a family setting oil candles adrift on a glowing golden river, framed by a royal Karaweik boat and a starry full-moon sky. This single, powerful key visual was strategically designed to work seamlessly across the jar label, the outer box, and the broader campaign materials.

The Core Concept: Interactive "Lantern" Packaging Rather than designing standard, disposable packaging, I conceptualized the outer box as a functional keepsake. The structure was designed to be reused as a traditional festival lantern, with a safe, battery-operated flameless LED candle inside. This turned the retail packaging into something consumers could actually use to celebrate the festival.

While I developed the core visual concept and overall campaign strategy, I collaborated closely with a dedicated illustrator who executed the final packaging artwork under my art direction.
